This isn’t just a training program…it’s a launchpad. We provide the mentorship, tools, and real-world support you need to thrive in your career and step confidently into your future.
Pinball Career Accelerator Program is a high-impact, workforce development initiative designed to support marginalized, high-risk youth and young adults. This program builds on the proven framework from the Skills Development Fund Training Stream (SDF-TS) supported by the Ontario Ministry of Labour and expands it locally to empower residents within the Greater Toronto Area with job readiness, life skills, and career placement support.
The model offers wraparound mentorship, mental health support, and employment training. This program equips youth with the tools to succeed in today’s job market while addressing systemic barriers that limit access to opportunity
Who Is It For?
The Program Serves:
- Youth and young adults (ages 18–29) from racialized, under-resourced, and high-priority neighborhoods in Brampton & the surrounding Greater Toronto Area.
- Individuals disconnected from education or employment.
- Those facing challenges including financial instability, housing insecurity, and lack of professional mentorship.
We Prioritize:
- Young people with leadership potential but limited access to opportunity.
- Individuals who have been impacted by the justice system, generational poverty, or systemic discrimination.
- Youth ready to transition from the from being under‑served to fully supported.
Program Components
- 2-week employment training bootcamp: Professional development workshops covering time management, communication, adaptability, and purpose-driven goal setting.
- Ongoing mentorship: 1-year follow-up support for successful career transition.
- 4 Hiring fairs to connect participants with employers and placement opportunities.
- Mental health and well-being supports: Trauma-informed mentors & a passionate social worker are embedded in the delivery.
- Transportation, meals, materials: All provided to reduce barriers to participation.
- Evaluation: Outcomes tracked across employment, skills acquisition, and self-efficacy.
