This past week, One Voice One Team was honored to take part in the Lead Well Youth Summit in Winnipeg, an impactful gathering that brought together hundreds of young leaders, educators, and mentors to cultivate resilience, confidence, and compassionate leadership by focusing on taking care of their mental health. Partnering with Project 11 and the Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg, we came together with a shared mission: to inspire youth to realize their potential and to empower them to become the leaders our world needs.
Our Executive Director, Orlando Bowen took the stage as one of the keynote speakers, delivering a powerful message that left a lasting impact on everyone in attendance. In a room filled with young minds hungry for inspiration, his words resonated deeply, reminding each student that they are already leaders in their own right and have the power to make lasting in change in their schools and communities. He spoke of resilience, and the profound strength that comes from compassionate leadership. His keynote was not just a speech – it was a call to action for every student to rise up and make a difference in their communities.
A True Community Effort
None of this would have been possible without the steadfast support of Project 11, Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg and the True North Youth Foundation. Through this partnership, we were able to combine resources, expertise, and shared vision to create an unforgettable experience for Winnipeg’s youth. This collaboration exemplifies the power of coming together with a common purpose, and it has shown us all what can be achieved when organizations unite to serve a greater cause.
