Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute social media plans and campaigns in alignment with OVOT’s goals and objectives.
  • Create compelling and engaging content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Monitor and manage OVOT’s social media accounts, including daily interaction with followers, responding to comments and messages, and addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all social media channels.
  • Analyze social media metrics and insights to track performance, identify trends, and optimize strategies for increased reach, engagement, and conversions.
  • Stay updated on social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to continuously improve OVOT’s social media presence and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Support the development of multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and infographics, to complement social media campaigns and initiatives.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to coordinate social media efforts for events, fundraisers, and awareness campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Encouraged: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
  • Proven work experience (2+ years) in social media
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a creative flair for storytelling and content creation.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design, aesthetics, and brand consistency.
  • Familiarity with social media advertising, including paid campaigns and boosted posts, is an asset.

One Voice One Team Youth Leadership Organization is currently recruiting a Content Creator primarily responsible for promoting summer camp, developing strategies for creative marketing campaigns, and capturing content (pictures, videos, testimonials, etc.) that will effectively communicate OVOT’s mission and programs to the public and other stakeholders.

You will be responsible for:

  • Posting graphics, images and messaging that bring to life the vision and culture of OVOT
  • Working with Social Media Manager and marketing team to correspond and provide insight and maintain on online engagement, idea, scheduling
  • Gathering Video testimonials
  • Establishing and maintaining social media correspondence with parents and guardians
  • Daily capturing, editing, and sharing of pictures, flyers, other promotional material, videos, social media posts and feedback of campers and staff
  • Attending staff training, summer camp, and field trips to take photos and videos for campers, parents/guardians and the greater community to get insight into the camper experience

Compensation Range: $17.30 – $18.55 (based on province)
Start/End Date: May 27th- August 16th 2024
