For the past fifteen years, One Voice One Team Youth Leadership Organization has been a beacon of hope and empowerment, hosting multiple summer camps that inspire and uplift youth in a variety of communities. Our camps welcome children aged 7-13, providing a dynamic and engaging environment where they learn the five foundational principles of S.W.O.L.E™: Self-respect, Work hard, Overcome adversity, Lead by example, and Excellence. These core values equip our participants to thrive in their personal relationships, academic pursuits, and community engagements.
A highlight of our camp experience is “Overcome Adversity Day,” a special occasion where we invite inspirational guest speakers to share their journeys of triumph over challenges. This year, on July 17th, 2024, our S.W.O.L.E™ Sports Leadership camp in Brampton had the privilege of hosting Jide Adeoye, Director of Data Analytics & Business Intelligence at Go Easy Financial. In an engaging interview-style session, Jide shared his professional insights and personal stories, emphasizing the crucial link between corporate engagement and community development. He even sang for us!
Jide’s connection with Support Black Charities underscores the transformative power of corporate + community partnerships. Anick Silencieux, the visionary Founder & Executive Director of Support Black Charities, champions this mission, ensuring that black-led charities receive the support they need to make lasting impacts on families, children, and communities often overlooked.
